joeswife wrote: oh Becky, you are so lucky to have such nice weather still.. it was cooler and cloudy today, but I still got out and cleaned off the patio, covered up the beds with leaves, and found three vines in pots still vining with new leaves sprouting, so ooo.... now they are in the downstairs garden sheese! I also found some baby pentas I planted from seeds hiding in the front flower bed, got them out and into some little pots.. n0w i have three rooms downstairs going again.. *sigh* oh.. and then theres the upstairs LOL.. okay so I emptied out a pillow case today, where I had cut down the vines from rebecca, , emmas mix, and Roman Candy and put them in there to dry together.. threw in some yellow pear tomatoes while green so I would know which vines they were.. out came the yellow pear tomatoes nice and ripe and ready to eat.. good thing I had rebecca ribboned.. Although she is easy to tell from other I. Purps I think.. she has a stripe.. what I do is break them open in the sink in a deep pan, run warm soapy water in them and scrub them, all the stuff that floats I pour out, rinse and strain, then dry on newspaper.. I then take all the floaters and stuff out to where I got them from and throw them down.. we will see if my theory of if it floats it isn't germinated ready enough stands true. Remember these? what were they called? no seeds from them dang it.. |
