my mother used to give us raw sugar canes when we lived in oceanside .. i have no clue where she got all the exotic stuff she crammed into our mouths, but I am glad she did. I still am trying to understand why she moved us to the middle of the US...
I saw the question about the basement thing.. there are three types of basements.. crawl, finished and unfinished. ours is partially finished.. 1900 square feet and not in use anymore, which is now my personal tropical garden, so I can while away the nights and weekends down there, instead of sitting in a recliner, yelling at a game on TV over which I have no control. here is the new lay out.. I have lots of sticks going now..
