I never like to let anything on a plant stay there as a sick leaf can make so many plants vulnerable to something big happening............. I also make sure that I flush very well with water from the kitchen at least once a month on both avs and streps.........I know my water is very alkaline but it doesn't seem to hurt them........only help them to really flush out all the salts and build up. I have never used Physan but got tired of cleaning trays (algae, etc) all the time, so Nichole told me that she used a teaspoon to a gallon of water with the fertilizer in it. I used 1 tsp once and since then.........I am only using 1/2 tsp per gallon and it is so nice to have such clean trays and plants...... While I was gone, a cold front came through and dramatically lowered the temps in the house causing a lot of powdery mildew but that isn't hard to get rid of. Here is what it looks like. Plants hate big swings in temps. I couldn't help it as I was gone and had set the air conditioning on 73 when I left town.......... |
