Good Morning SingingWolf,
I'm a bit distracted this morning, woke up to find out that someone tried to hot wire my car so I'm stuck in the house for the day. =( . They pulled out the ignition and ripped out some of the dash so I'm out of a car for the weekend.

Sorry to hear none of your Angels bloomed this year. Do you know why? Location or too young? You do know that they only bloom above the Y. As in Y of a stem. What kind do you have? I love trumpets. I have many. I bought a bunch from someone on DG this summer. They are doubles! Cant wait till they bloom. I have all colors, I just love them. By the way that poke a dot one is some sort of mutation or something. They really dont come like that. I'm looking out my window now and its still has the spots! I thought they would disappear once fully opened but its still spotted.

Now as far as keeping plants alive ..... its all trial and error. You learn as time goes by what to do and when. But I'm with you on the idea of plants that can take care of themselves. Not because I have a black thumb but I have soooooo many I need the time. LOL I have hundreds of plants and its hard keeping up with them all. Its great when they can take care of themselves.
Sounds like you could do well with Cacti or succulents. Dont shy away from Cacti, some of them are very pretty, and succulents........... well I cant say enough about them! I'm in love with them too , ROTF. I have tons so any time you'd like to try some out .......... just let me know. I usually dont trade as I have enough plants right now I, if anything look for supplies to trade, if I dont just give the plants away. Most time I do.
We just had a plant swap at my house, some members from DG came too! It was fun. Thats who some of the Fuchsias were for, but I guess better luck next time. I found another seller willing to send me 100starters for $35 when I'm ready. Right now I'm busy propagating a bunch of stuff to ensure I dont lose any this winter. Coleus, pentas, sunflower tree, etc

Ohh you know what you may like Epi's they are easy to grow too. I have some of those if you want to give any a try. Real easy to care for.

As far as computer savvy........ I got none either, so join the club. My kids help me ALL the time, LOL.
My son just made me a diagram of a self-watering container for my Garden group web page. I have a small garden group online and they wanted to know how I build my containers. He went to program in my computer and in a few minutes ........ wala ........... he made me a beautiful diagram. It would have took me HOURS, LOL .

Yes Gardens can be a life time of work ........... but so worth it. I cant imagine life without it. They almost go hand and hand. Not to mention you get to make great new , loving sharing friends along the way !!!!! Just what we all need in life.

Ok gotta make the hubby some coffee,
I'm sure I'll be back on in a little bit ......... I'll post some new pix too.

Later peeps ,

over-and-out,

Sylvia
