It's a light, very fast draining potting medium but it works for me. I use the garden hose out on the deck for watering and I water every day during the hot summer, unless we are having a lot of rain. I've seen a lot of growth on my plant this summer and I used the beer formula fertilizer a few times, but don't know if that had anything to do with it or if the plant just likes the heat and humidity.
