Yesterday we went down to San Diego to see the Body Worlds exhibit and were gone from the house ten hours... the longest by at least twice that Rocky has been alone since adopting us. WELL! Was he miffed! All last evening he was attacking us and *biting* -- I know that is a funny mental picture, but he was quite serious about it AND he has sharp teeth. Our previous cats would sulk but not be aggressive and only after multi-day vacations (or when they saw me packing suitcases, which they recognized for what they meant).

I held him and made him accept some pets a couple times last night (dodging the mandibles), and it seems he is over his pique today. Whew! He is going to have to learn to be a little more flexible than that! My DH was NOT amused.
