These Echinace Ruby Star are new this year and have been blooming for more than 2 months. When these blooms are fresh they are a much darker Rose color than the regular Echies. The blooms on mature plants are also larger than normal Echies. I have some of these also planted in full sun, but the blooms on those fade a lot faster than those planted in part shade. Actually, all of my Echies do better in shade than in sun. They are all planted under Maples and don't mind the dryness.
