Rj.. I grow that perilla, my brother who used to be married to a korean girl used it in his restaruants in miami in some dishes, I have tons of it ( seeds too) as well as all the basils..I hav'nt died or gotten sick from eating it yet..
Candela, what a wonderful garden you have and some nice neighbors too.. My criniums are not blooming yet, but they bloomed for Tropicman last fall so there is hope yet.
I have been busy working a different schedule and not happy about it, but I am drowning my sorrow in gathering seeds now. I will be sending off a pink box for Patty that likes pink, and some of you will get some of the other seeds I have ( not so pink) lol
The other Patty will be getting some plants that I have to send away since there is no room at the Inn in the basement nursery. I am going to Buffalo, Ny. Sat am and I have a ten yr old girl watering my yard while I am away and if everything is alive and thriving she will get a 50 dollar bill. Her parents have been over watching her "train" with me.
This is one of my favorite colours with a heady scent of mirabilis ( 4 o clock) that I collect..
