Great shots of the hawk, Nanny! We moved down to Santa Fe yesterday. Staying in a releative's vacation home. It's a beautiful pueblo-style home on a golf course and quite a few birds. Upon arrival I noticed a nice pile of droppings on the front porch and discovered a Barn Swallow nest under the eave. They are ready to fledge. The mother sat on a nearby adobe wall calling them. Only one of the four was brave enough to make the leap. The others get up on the edge of the nest, but don't quite have the courage. The one that fledged returned to the nest for the night.

Also saw some Pinon Jays and Rock Wrens while sitting on the veranda watching the sun go down. Plan to visit the square today and Randall Davey Audubon Center & Sanctuary tomorrow.
