This man's "schedule" has been more than frustrating for two "early risers" and he was only able to finish one half of the ceramic tiles on Wednesday because one of his workers had to be home by 3:00 that afternoon :( Not to worry, he promised to be there early on Thursday and would finish and be out of our hair! At 10:45 AM the next morning I ready to pull my hair out :( He was finally there at 11:00 but with more bad news - the grout we had chosen was special order only - argghhhh, what else can go wrong? We quickly chose another color, he was off to Lowes to pick it up and get back to work. At least this time he left one of the workers there to finish installing the moulding in the living room so we could at least start moving our furniture back into place! He promised that they would finish by the end of the day and they did...but it was after 8:00 when he finally left us in peace :( It wouldn't have been so bad but the only way IN and OUT of the house all day was through the bedroom window - for us and TWO dogs! All things considered, even though the crew will NOT be hired to install the ceramic tile in the kitchen, we love the new floors and they are so easy to clean :) You know that TV ad where the mop is whining to the woman using her new Swifter? Well I think my vacuum cleaner is going to be whining too! LOL We still have a few things left to put back (television, stereo and books in the entertainment center) but here's what it looks like with a few minor changes to make the living room look more open. Of course once all the plants come in for the winter it won't look this "open" :)
