Wash container well, Poke holes in the "eggs", fill with starting medium of choice, place leaf... I recycle almost every container that has smooth surface and can be washed well. I also used for seed starting (and now I have a few mini AV leaves put down for babies) Colada cups. For the Floridians, or for the coffee fanatics that drank at least once in their lives a shot of Cuban Coffee, it might ring a bell faster. Colada (the Cuban equivalent of espresso) is given in a (plastic) cup to share with others, as it's believed one single person cannot drink that stuff by him/herself (which is untrue, btw...). So, along with the Colada cup, the also give you some thimble plastic cups, about 1 in in diameter and height. I used to drink a whole Colada by myself, so ended up with several such thimbles. Easy to poke holes to it. Check it out! |
