I tried buying the eating kind from a seed catalog and did not have any luck. My soil is pith poor sand and while it will grow a good baking potatoe, it has issues with a lot of veggies.

Does anyone here grow grapes? I started a dozen seedlings this year in the spring and they are now in gallon pots. I want to plant them on my trellis that is ready for any vine but am wondering how should I ammend the soil where they will go into the ground. I can add chicken poo or horse poo and was thinking that was what I should do, but since I have never grown domestic grapes before.. dont really know! Any help would be great. The soil is pith poor sand to start....so ok, what do I do?
