I'm in Wisconsin, and the Chickens are at my boyfriends place near the UP Michigan and Wisconson boarder. He did very well in the winter. He did get frost bite on his comb and lost all the little bumps on it. His comb was quite interesting then, it was just completely rounded over. But he had no problems with the winter.
You have to make sure they have access to shade though, because that neck can get sunburned in the summer. Try to keep them out of the sun though.......LOL They go where they want to go.
We lost him suddenly in the summer. He was with us one day and gone the next :(
