A couple of winters ago a small herd of about 8-12 were coming in and cleaning out the bird feeders even then they didn't bother much of the plantings. Got so bad that I finally put out a corn feeder hate to do anything that will draw them in but they were coming into the bird feeders anyway. Luckily when spring came they stopped coming around. Sometimes you will see them along the hedgerow on the other side of the lane or at my small pond but not often.
