If I moved it to the other side of the walk it would be blocked by cars parked in the parking area and clash with some other points of interest on that side of the front yard. . I didn’t want it in the middle of the front yard. The back yard already has two small ponds, didn’t really need a third back there. So this spot seemed to fit the bill. It is in the lower front yard but screened from street view by those same evergreens, which make a nice backdrop. It is easily seen from the front porch, where we quite often sit.
