When I've been to the east coast, I'm always amazed at how much shorter the conifers are and how many more deciduous trees that are there. thanks Jo Ann. So many times i've been sooooo surprised at how much larger plants have become than what the tags said. Now I know to give plants twice as much room as they say, but some of the first beds that I planted became very overcrowded very quickly. I hadn't really planned on posting this picture as I took it to keep notes on all of the changes and projects going on in the yard now. But here's a perfect example of what I was mentioning. The daylilly in this picture is twice the size that I was expecting. It's currently over 6' tall. (you can't miss the one that I'm talking about) |
