Love seeing the lilies and DL' s appearing. Love that one Victor.

Meredith79, super cool bud, for sure. What was it? And that was a strange spider. Id?

Redchic, that salvia shot is stunning. Is it Black and Blue or what? I keep seeing that one, but I was unable to winter over them a few years ago in the GH, so I haven't tried them again. Expensive annual.

Pixie, that must be a dianthus that is dotting your yard. I love them. They do well in Vt, and ok here, but never spread for me.

LEIGHTONHILL, how do your grow your DL's? Mixed in beds or lined out. I can't wait to see some of your favorites. I have a very modest number. Love the spiders, but I put myself on a DL diet recently as they would take over the garden if I kept buying more.

Robindog, nice pink rose. Is it an old gallica or what. I don't know much about any except rugosa.

I still have to give Victor my thoughts on the best rugosa . I use to only like singles and now I have added many doubles. I bought many from a coop from a wonderful grower who is out of business (Great Lakes) through Dan, but this grower in Maine has an excellent collection and reputation. http://www.northcreekfarm.org

The hybrid rugosa 'Carmen' has done very well and has a very rich color, but only the second year for me. I make rose hip jelly, so the hips are important to me and to the birds in the winter.
