HollyAnnS wrote: Oh Yes Stormyla, I thought you were talking about using a zip code report to find what the plant was. Like putting in your Zip Code and getting a list of plants native to your area. You are right about that iris, both that one and the yellow one that bloomed earlier are gorgeous. Not sure where they came from either a DG swap or maybe my HGHA raffle table. Claypa, I had ordered several small hosta for a living wreath. When it was time to actually plant the wreath I only had two varieties Hope and Blue Mouse Ears. Some of them said 6-10 inches and Ric thought they were too big so I didn't use them. I gave one (Dixie Girl) away and lost another. If the wreath works out this summer I want to try again next spring and I will be looking for hosta that don't get bigger than 8 inches and would prefer ones that only get about 6 inches. So I'm on the lookout. I ordered a Mini Hosta collection and some of them were quite big as they weren't necessary small just smaller than the original variety. LOL Here is a new pic of that Ramona bloom. It is the same bloom that I posted a couple of days ago. See how much the color changed in just a few days? That difference isn't the camera or lighting. |
