Specialty Gardening: I have to movehelp!, 1 by revclaus

We're not moving far, just six blocks away, but I have about 40-50 container plants -- window boxes (on the balcony railing) perennials, vines, annuals (no veggies) -- that have to be moved. I'm not as able as I once was, so it's a pretty daunting task for me. DH is disabled, so he won't be any help. I have to rely on my son who has a broken foot, and one friend to get these plants from my current balcony to my new balcony. Any ideas about how best to do it? How to get them ready to move?
