I've taken forty feet of faux brick edging and made it a mowing strip here then softened (hardened??) the bed edge with local rocks
The lighting is bad but the combo here of textures and colors is pretty nice right now. hart's heirloom iris will need dividing this year and it is a verrrry nice iris, no sick leaves at all
