I plant mine in a soil high in peat about 1/4-1/2 inch deep and keep them in a shady (not dark) place. Moist, but, not soggy. I am not very precise on planting, in this life your on your own in my garden.

I keep all my rain lilies in containers and I fertilize them. They bloom repeatedly in the long days of summer. The ones I see in the ground aren't nearly as happy.

After a couple years I plant them at the places where I work. Rain lilies are like any 'grass' they like light frequent fertilization.

The big flowered pink I showed above never makes seed, even with me trying to pollenize by hand. I started out with about 5 bulbs 2 years ago. I have about 500 now.

This one makes lots of seeds, I don't know the species for sure, found it in yard after they tore a house down for development into an apartment block>
