I have always loved this shrub, Potentilla 'Abbottswood' which has bloomed in this spot for over 20 years. This knotweed has been in this spot for more than 5 yrs, and has been totally well behaved, Persicaria polymorpha though I cut it back after flowering and then again after a small rebloom in Aug.
