Ge1836, I try to find many bulbs on sale in Nov, but I am lucky that I can still get them in the ground in Dec. Some of my non hardy glads that I left in the ground as an experiment, or perhaps I was I just Lazy, have appeared, now to see if they flower. The communis is a perennial to zone 5 or 6a according to the bulb folks.

Allium Firmament just starting to open, but wonderfully dark now
Allium christophii too short for where it is planted
Allium globemaster with Ornithogalum magnum
Allium rosenbachianum gone by but lovely still
