I would wait until the tops are pretty dry though to make sure the seeds are ready :) Finally got a picture of the plant I mentioned a couple of days ago. Melittis 'Royal Velvet Distinction'. It's in the mint family and the foliage does have some fragrance to it but look at these sweet flowers. They're not huge, only about an inch and a half long, but larger than what I expected. Supposedly if you cut them back after flowering they will rebloom later in the season. They just started blooming so they should be ready for their pruning when I get back from Maine! |
