Been gone to Branson for a few days and haven't posted. My ATT air card was next to useless there. Poor signal and antiquated system.

We did a lot of hiking and the birding was really pretty poor. My prize pic was of a mama mink. We were biking up Dogwood Canyon and had climbed up to a waterfalls. I looked back down at the trail and saw a mink carrying a small animal. I couldn't tell if it was a baby or something she had killed. I watched where she stashed it and investigated when we got back down. My wife saw her on the other side of the trail and she was carrying a second baby to a new location. I rushed her and she dropped the baby. I knew she wouldn't leave it. She was so frenetic and active I almost couldn't get a shot of her. She kept trying to rush in from the rear and nip me while I was taking pics of the baby.

Fur-- no feathers.
