Purchased this lotus about a month ago. I don't recall the exact species, but recall the tag (which I usually save) had a picture of a light pink bloom. This picture shows it the first week it was placed in my pond. After about two weeks, it started to deteriorate. I called the nursery I bought it from, and they suggested fertilizer, which I did. After that, it began to deteriorate more rapidly. It's current state is reflected in the second picture I'll post. Any ideas as to what is wrong with it? As instructed by the nursery, I placed it in the same container I bought it directly in my pond, where it gets 7+ hours of direct sunlight. There are 2 small goldfish in the pond, and occasionally one of the bullfrogs comes over for a visit (as seen in the first picture). Hubby thinks maybe the fish ate the leaves and gnawed on the roots. :(

I did call the nursery this morning, and they said I could bring it back for them to look it over, and if it's not able to be saved or I'm unhappy, they will replace it. But I thought I'd post on here as well to get some other feedback from lotus owners.

Thanks in advance!
