Poor kid, losing a friend and then an ear infection to top it off. Hopefully he will realize that you are trying to help him with the meds and cooperate better than you think he will. Dbower, I love the kitty helping with the slugs, but cringe to think of the cleanup! Yuck! The wonderful thing about furbabies is that the love is so quick and unconditional, that although you will never forget the ones that you have shared your life with in the past, a new one will find you and make your heart happy again. My Hunter was a "freak puppy" that my dobie Sassy had when she was nine (her first litter, and completely a surprise as we had tried to breed her for years and were never successful...figured that she was sterile). She was gone within a year after having him, but his goofy personality made it so much easier on me dealing with the loss of his mom. He was enjoying the sunny weekend this last weekend, and I couldn't resist taking a picture...looks like pure contentment to me! |
