i found a white c-shaped larvae in my garden yesterday, and i just moved it to another spot b/c i was in a huge hurry. i just presumed it was a moth larvae, but now i'm learning i need to worry about emerald ash borer. (we have an ash on our boulevard.)

i found the ash borer, and it doesn't match, thank god. but still trying to find out what i have.

it looks almost exactly like this image, except i swear, the legs were on the TAIL end, not the front. which really freaked me out.

white. about 1.5" long. curled up in my hand. distinct head. grayish-blubbery tail like this pic. no distinct stripes that i remember. maybe tiny spots on the sides, but couldn't say for sure. i sure wish i had the camera with me. (2 yr old running in yard, couldn't go get easily.)

your help is much appreciated. i will be searching for it shortly - when i till that portion of my yard for new plantings.

thanks!
