bbrookrd wrote: Wha, Yes lots of hosta thanks to your help at Mason's Hollow, and as you know, also a truck load of other stuff that I have been busy planting. I have only a couple left to plant in the morning. I would have finished today, but the veggie bed needed major work, so that took most of the afternoon. Don't ever plant a veggie bed on sloping ground. What a pain! We will finish putting up the trellis and actually plant it tomorrow. Then I have some lily bulbs to get planted before I can start doing the containers. I hope to be caught up by Thurs. I am driving down to NYC on Thurs. to pick up a big strapping friend who is dying to get out of the city for a week and come help move all the plants out of the greenhouse and do some brush cutting and play with our chain saws! He comes a couple times a year for physical therapy. I find lots of heavy work for him to do as Apt living in Brooklyn doesn't give him the outside work he craves. I am so lucky to have such a friend. I have to watch him like a hawk as he sometimes gets grand ideas about us planting a vineyard or making a giant pond with koi. Anyway here is the list of most of the things that fell out of my truck when I got back from the mainland. Not listed are the veggies and some annuals. Thanks, Wha. By the way Wha's garden is stunning. More rock walls than I had thought that are done with such care and expertise. He even has a large natural pond that he hasn't incorporated in to the grand scheme. Not sure why he hasn't gotten to that yet. Must be a slacker.... NOT and NO Weeds anywhere. Believe me, I looked. Lovely. Patti |
