Here's a shot of our lilacs in our anniversary present to ourselves from our mountains/waterfall trip on the way up. The vase is a Cash Family hand-painted vase that Hank fell in love with in a very pricey store that was in the town where all the Blue Ridge pottery was made. The Cash Family pottery was made in the 50s by a family of potters from the Blue Ridge factory who started their own business when the Blue Ridge (Southern Potters) factory closed. We met a man who worked in that factory for many years and his mother was one of the artists who hand-painted the Blue Ridge pieces. We found both the dilapidated Southern Potters building and the Cash Pottery buildings.
