You all might recall when I put some big stock eggs under my bantam hen around Christmas last year. She hatched 2 chicks. One was a Dominique pullet and the other was a White Rock roo. The roo is big enough to eat now. I was telling DH yesterday morning that the pullet should start laying soon When I checked the eggs yesterday afternoon, I found her first egg. It was sitting beside the duck egg which made it look even smaller. In fact, I thought it was a pebble. It is the same size and shape as a "Whopper" malted milk ball. It was so dirty it was nearly the same color, too. LOL I need to do a lot of work on my pen. With all the rain we have had it is very wet and muddy everywhere.
