But that is how we Floridians segregate the beach and the lakes here in Florida, since we do have both. LOL! Well, in that case it should grow quite well! :-) I wanna see photos if it does!!! Thanks for the suggestion about using dark green or dark burgandy in my Caladium basket. Ironically, I thought I had room in the basket to add something else. Instead I am seeing more Florida Sweethearts poking their heads through the soil. So now I don't know if I will actually have room for any other plants. :-S Cute little bird!! What is it? Looks almost like a Bluejay or Scrub jay. I love my birdies... and squirrels. I'm off today to take care of some estate business, so am enjoying my morning at home. I need more days off! LOL! Here is an interesting cross from Antoinette. This was labeled Aogakiyama x Chocolate Silk. A - Did you get the Aogakiyama seeds from Beth? If not, just wondering because I thought the blooms were going to be more light blue. (The camera doesn't convey the color correctly. It is more of a deep purple, not blue! I hate this color misrepresentation in a camera. Too broke to get a better camera ...) LOL! Love the white streak in there and the long flag. Can't wait to see what future blooms look like. I know this sounds odd, but these rich colored, large blooms are some of my favorites. I like blooms with subtle hints of a cross or patterns. |
