I am so amazed how our garden plants make it through all the cold weather and snow. I love to see them poke up for the first time in the spring and am amazed how fast they grow once they start. i only lost 2 plants from last year, a Harlequin Euonymus and a Foxglove that I hoped would come back. Every thing else seems to be doing well.
I'm happy that several have early flowers.
The picture shows (top left) yellow jonquills (sp) (top right) Lepards Bane - put in late last year, had no idea how pretty it would be, (bottom left) Purple Vinca - simple but so very colorful, (bottom right) Dwarf Fothergilla (beaver creek) - very unique flower.
I see a lot of new shoots for several of the Day Lilies and Lilies. It might be a very colorful year.
