Hi, I am attaching a stock photo of a male Hobo spider. I can post my blurry picture of him captured in a plastic container before I released him, but it probably won't help you. I chose this picture because the body shape, leg proportions, brown color, and the dominant pedipalps. I have never seen spiders with such large pedipalps before in my area (near Boston, MA).
Since the Hobo is found in the Northwest, what other spiders should I be looking at? This spider had a body about .75 inches and leg span of about 1.5 inches. He jumped up and down aggressively when I moved him in the container.
