Most I just put in the soil where it is going to grow - be it a pot or the ground. I, too, am excited to see how the Yellow Chinese Evening Glories are going to look when in bloom. The blooms are small from what I understand. Joanne - Thanks! Pipevines have one unfavorable characteristic. The blooms smell like rotting meat. Yeah ... nasty stuff! But I love how they look and am willing to put up with the smell. And since I garden for butterflies, it is a host plant for a butterfly I would like to woo into my yard. :-) Here is a photo of the Hanafubuki today. This is such a pretty vine and blooms. Looks like a tear drop in the center. I just love this particular cultivar!!! |
