Ha! All cities seem t have their share of problems, don't they? I like my seasonal pond. We have a cellar that collects water when we get lots of rain, and we keep a sump pump down there to prevent it from flooding. The water drains into the pond and fills it up. It fills up off and on throughout the year, and makes a great place to plant things that like it moist or downright wet. We have a lot of moss around the pond, and I really love the moss, so I'm encouraging it to grow. Here is a shot of the beautiful moss.
