Elphaba, that's one Grosbeak, I didn't have in my yard yet. I'm hoping to see one. My SIL has seen it in her backyard, and it's only a 5min walk from here. So they are close.
Nanny, no purple finch yet, but the goldfinch has shown up today.

Got a surprise, when I downloaded my pictures today. This Hairy has made a hole in an old stump. He has a beak full of suet. Could he be bringing the female some food? Do they nest that close to the ground? Will have to investigate this tomorrow.
