To answer your question, there are some things that will bloom as the perennials come up around the tulip's foliage, irises, alliums, etc., but most of the stuff in this bed doesn't start blooming until June, I'd guess. It's packed pretty full, it's hard to find room for much of anything. I might dig up these hybrid tulip bulbs this summer and store them.

JBerger, if I had that much room I'd forget all about PA or any other nice place I've lived!
