SunShine.. lovely pictures... funny your hoya smells like grape juice... there's a plumeria.. whose blooms smell just like grape also.. I believe it's called GrapeAid .. I've smelled it's bloom and it does smell.. just like the heavy grape of grape cool-aid ..
And a little diversion from the topic with a dieffenbachia story from my past..
Back in the early 70's I had a professional dressmakers dummy.. full botice down to a wire lower portion below the knees.. upon which it sat... I'd coated it with fiberglass / resin and filled it with potting soil...I had holes about the bottice with plants growing out.. and trailing.. out of the top grew a large dieffenbachia.. which was growing quite large.. at perhaps 10' over all height.. my wife at the time was pregnant and a week or so over due..for delivery.. one evening.. as we were lounging about in bed.. there was a tremendeous crash from below.. on going down to check.. I discovered the large planter I'd mentioned had fallen over.. and the thing had split right across the mid section.. and the dirt was spilling out.. she went into labor within 15 minutes of the crash and breaking open.. she delivered a son upon arrival at the hospital .. I've a spiritual connection to them ever since..
here's one with a MG volunteer now blooming.. inside..
