Some of the stones came from our property, but most came from the place next door to us---it was an original field stone wall, but in poor repair, & in an odd place---all of our hill was at one time an orchard, & I guess a farm before that. Anyway, our neighbors gave us the stones. Our son made 4 raised beds for us, but they do need maintenance. DavidP---my hyacinths are in a garden bed, but also around a magnolia tree, which I know gets mowed! Here are the garden ones---the others aren't in bloom yet.
