Gitagal wrote: Jill, Your American Honeysuckle WAS too big for where I planted it, grew too rampant and killed my Clematis that I planted it next to. It had to be moved--and as luck would have it--my Store Manager at HD was begging to have some Honeysuckle to grow in the back of his garden. I told him I had two I wanted to find new homes to....soooooo...:o) Dug it up--he planted it in his garden and--both of us are happy campers now. He was telling me, excitedly, how the new growth was coming from the stems last Fall.....I even took pictures of the blooms and made a copy for him. He is such a nice man--I would do anything for him.... So--my request of the Coral Honeysuckle is so I can give him that one as well--after I have rooted it....IF you don't have enough of it--you don't have to bring it --as it is NOT for me.... I am looking for a nice new Clematis to plant where I dug up the Honeysuckle. Will buy one--unless someone has a decent size rooted one...???? Bec---- Here is a picture of my Lilac. I have always know this bush to be a French Double---- I have had it for eons!!!! The rooted plant I gave you was "once upon a time" a sucker I dug up and grew in a pot over about 4 years...I hope it will be the same as Mama in blooms.....Has it bloomed for you yet? Not sure if "French Doubles" are grafted of not.... G. |
