They nearly always fight to the death. Game hens can be vicious too. Asil cocks have to beat the hen in order to breed. And Asil hens will gang up on the young stags and kill them. They are some hard core gals. I saw some pretty game cocks at the market today. Most of them were Hatch. Here is a pic of the Hatch roo I have borrowed. I couldn't replace my MacCrea Roundhead roo so this is the next best thing. |
