I try to avoid shopping after gardening but I'm not always successful. There's a produce stand that was on the way from last year's garden, and I'd stop there - dirty and sweaty - to pick up the stuff I wasn't growing myself.

Gardening without shoes: I'd rather be barefoot than shoed, but the chiggers like me too. :o(
