Have any of you noticed how diseased the cannas are in all the nurseries. They all have that canna virus. I have been so good about not bringing home any new cannas because I have several large stands that I love and do not want them to get so sick. The virus is so contagious.

Then last year I found a big pot of Australia with the deep almost black leaves. It looked perfect. So I got it. With the stress of moving and hitting a heat wave, the virus within emerged almost immediately with the new leaf. I emailed the grower and they sent someone out to look at their crop. He said he found 1 with it among his. He told me to return the plant to where I bought it. And he even called them for me. I got my $30 back!
