Thanks for the advice my neighbor situation. The man I am worried about isn't actually old - he just tends to be an aggressive person who likes to yell not so nice things and makes a huge fuss over nothing. I've actually never met him, but I have seen him when his yelling brought me to the window and I heard him go on and on last summer....it makes me want to avoid him if at all possible.

I took my camera this afternoon when I went out for a walk, as I knew I'd be passing by the nest. On the way out the door, I saw mama hummingbird from next door (the nest in the oleander bush) swoop over the fence for a drink from the new feeder I set up next to the old nest. I know it's silly, but I really do think she might be the mama who lost her eggs last month. She kind of looks the same, the oleander nest has the same "feel" to it (versus the nest in the tree), and when she saw me today, instead of heading for the feeder she came right at me yelling all the while, flew right above me, and then pooped. This time she didn't poop on my head, but it was pretty darn close, and that seemed to be her "trademark" move. ;-)
