Oh, shoot, I forgot brownies & chocolate cake made with fresh eggs. How do people get by with only a dozen a week ? I have one customer who buys 10 dozen every 2 weeks. Wish I had more like them. Our pullets are starting to go full tilt. About 50% right now. I can't wait until I can get them outside. It will brighten up the yolks for sure. Oh, by the way, we raise all our veggies & chickens substanable. (Spelling). I do use organic straw for part of the litter & in the nest boxes. A friend farms organic & has lots of straw. No straw needed in all the pig confinement builds around here. I try to buy all my pork from a free range pig farmer. Meat has so much better flavor. Pork from confinement barns smells like the manure. Thanks for all the input to my thread. Bernie My babies. |
