Buttoneer wrote: Closeup of Winter Aconite. This plant reseeds itself wonderfully. I even help it & scatter the seeds so I get a colony going. I have seen mine blooming under the snow (when you remove the snow) in February and this year it is a little late, but I would prefer to see it blooming now when you can actually see it blooming. I read up on these & they like partial shade, moisture and drainage. Mine gets afternoon sun. When the seeds are ripe, you can put them inside a moist paper towel & put in refrig, but it is easier to just resow into your moist soil & they will come up.
