OH.. I'd have loved to have met up for lunch.. great eatting near there for sure.. got an atlantic chowder to go home... I usually like to go the first non weekend day.. best form in the flowers.. and the vendors have a pile of stuff.. restocked from the weekend..Got up though.. and we were still storming.. but I braved the roads.. knowing it would keep the pestey crowds at bay... it was so wonderful.. to be able to see across the hall to other areas.. although I didn't like it as much as years past either.. maybe it was the lack of aroma .. or the paying down of the tropicals.. always love the flower art.. crafts ..
One of the vendors was funny... they were all over us as there were so few folks walking through when we did, as we did them first thing in the AM.. on their snw day.. one said..so my friend....what have you tried to do to keep the deer from your flowers / plants ... come on in and see a better approach... had to tell him I keep everything 50 ft above the ground.. on my roof.. and it seems to be working to keep the deer away.. I've never seen the signs of any there... maybe a blooming brug.. I think there were a few last year..
I'd like to see a true tropical theme.. one year.. more difficult to be sure.. but it's still an impressive display this year..
we'll meet up again sometime soon..
