Twincol, am sending you a photo here of where I sit to get my photos. This is my messy back porch. Those boxes are supposed to be full of firewood. The tree in the background is an English Walnut.
I usually sit in the taller chair, but sometimes I sit in the one next to the wall. The chair is about 5 feet away from the feeder, and I use the telephoto lens, and photoshop to crop the photos.
I think patience and going out about the same times each day help get the birds used to your presence.
