IC - WOW- can't believe the cats -- I'm a long-time cat person, and have never had the problems you've seen - Don't know what I'd do without all my babies.

I wangled a Cockatiel (Mario) once, but didn't study their behavior enough - well, we got a male and he immediately bonded to me as his mate and would attack anyone else. We still kept him about a year, but when he got on my DH's shoulder and latched onto his earlobe (major bloody) that was the end of that. We gave him to the local Community College that had a Vet Tech program. --

Mothermole, you're certainly right - I think it's amazing that we all love our animals as much as our gardens. I watch Dog Whisperer and certainly agree with him that a family is just not "complete" without at least some type of animal companions.
